  • Our approach

Emma's therapy philosophy centres on creating a comfortable, confident experience for children and families through clear communication and collaboration. Sessions are playful and fun-filled, designed to engage children and help them learn to their full potential. The practice uses evidence-based therapy techniques with a special focus on severe motor speech disorders such as Childhood Apraxia of Speech, incorporating specialized methods like PROMPT, Nancy Kaufman's Speech to Language Protocol, and Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing. Orofacial Myology is also integrated to provide holistic assessment and treatment of paediatric speech sound disorders. Every session prioritises helping your child's inner voice shine through individualised, supportive care.

  • Working with families

Open communication and collaboration are core to how the practice works with families. Emma prioritises clear, direct communication and involves parents as active partners in their child's therapy journey. The Hanen "It Takes Two to Talk" parent training program is available, recognising the important role parents play in supporting speech and language development. Emma is happy to discuss any concerns or questions you may have about your child's communication development and encourages you to trust your instincts and contact her directly. The practice is committed to creating a supportive, family-friendly service where parents feel comfortable and confident working with their therapist.
