Our approach
BackChat Speech Pathology specialises in working with children who have Executive Function and Working Memory difficulties that affect their spoken language and literacy learning. Children often present with challenges across multiple developmental areas including memory, reading, attention or self-regulation – skills that are crucial for learning in the early years. The Head Clinician brings extensive paediatric experience and applies contemporary neuroscience research to therapy, recognizing that whole-brain development is just as important as focusing solely on speech and language. This approach means sessions are tailored to address the underlying learning foundations that impact how children engage with their education, whether at kindergarten or in more formal classroom settings.
