Our approach
Little Souls Wellness Centre takes a holistic, evidence-based, and collaborative approach tailored to each child's needs, goals, and preferences. Psychologists employ a variety of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Mindfulness-based interventions, Play Therapy, and Animal-Assisted Therapies. Sessions create a warm, positive, and supportive environment where children feel safe and comfortable expressing their feelings and experiences. The centre works closely with families throughout therapy, ensuring that interventions are collaborative and individualised. Whether in clinic, schools, childcare centres or via Telehealth, therapists are committed to helping each child reach their full potential and achieve wellbeing.
Working with families
Little Souls Wellness Centre works closely and collaboratively with parents and carers throughout the therapeutic process. The centre takes a family-centred approach, recognising that best outcomes are achieved when therapy is collaborative and individualised. Therapists support families in understanding their child's needs and in implementing strategies and interventions in everyday life. Parents are invited to be part of initial assessments and goal-setting conversations, and the team maintains ongoing communication with families to promote positive outcomes. For clients experiencing financial hardship, the Client Support Team is available for confidential discussions about available funding options.
Meet the team
The multidisciplinary team includes registered psychologists with Master's degrees and Honours qualifications in Psychology, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dietitians, and tutors. Registered psychologists are fully registered with AHPRA and regulated by the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc., with experience across the lifespan and special interests in areas such as child, adolescent, perinatal psychology, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and trauma. Several team members hold Board Approved Supervisor credentials. The team values collaboration, person-centred care, and employs evidence-based practices. All clinicians are described as warm, empathetic, and dedicated professionals committed to supporting children, families, and individuals with compassion and expertise.
Your first visit
Initial appointments involve a collaborative discussion where the team gathers important background information and discusses any presenting concerns. Parents and children work together with the clinician to form future session goals in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. The session provides an opportunity to understand what is causing difficulty and begin tailoring intervention to what the child is interested in. A digital consent form is completed before the appointment, and families are asked to bring relevant documentation such as Medicare cards or NDIS Plan details if applicable. This first meeting sets the foundation for ongoing, personalised support.
