  • Our approach

Sessions are goal-oriented and developed in partnership with families. The team works to promote learning and development by encouraging children to learn new skills, showing families how to create opportunities for learning in everyday life, and providing education to prevent developmental delays. Therapy involves 60-minute sessions that focus on helping children carry out daily activities and routines important to their lives. You're encouraged to be part of your child's therapy sessions, and the approach is evidence-based and tailored to suit each child's individual needs and family circumstances.

  • Working with families

Family involvement is central to the approach—you're encouraged to be part of therapy sessions with your child. The team works in partnership with families every step of the way to achieve shared goals, and therapy includes showing you how to create opportunities for learning and development in your child's everyday life. For feeding concerns, observations and assessments may include videos of your child's usual mealtime, and the team collaborates with families to develop tailored supportive strategies as part of a home plan. Sessions are adapted to be meaningful and sustainable for your whole family.

  • Meet the team

The team includes Lisa Kelly (Director and Occupational Therapist with 25 years' experience and a postgraduate certificate in Paediatrics), Leah Cowen (Occupational Therapist specialising in children from age 2 with autism, ADHD and developmental delay), Simone Emery (Occupational Therapist with 8 years in feeding therapy and expertise in children from 6 months to 14 years), Nadee Basnayake (Occupational Therapist with experience in autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy and developmental delays), and Danni Centorame (Co-Founder and Occupational Therapist with 15+ years' experience in early intervention, particularly cerebral palsy). All therapists are qualified occupational therapists with additional professional development in their specialist areas.

  • Your first visit

At your initial appointment, an assessment is conducted to look at how your child's development influences what they can or cannot do. The team considers your child's progress and works with you to identify areas for further development and potential. This assessment process helps establish a clear understanding of your child's needs and sets the foundation for developing shared therapy goals. Following this, subsequent sessions focus on the goals you've developed together, with the therapy tailored to your family's specific circumstances and what matters most to you.
