Our approach
Therapy sessions focus on supporting children with activities of daily living skills in their natural environments. Parent involvement is central to the approach—families are encouraged to participate in sessions because they know their child best and can provide valuable insight. The occupational therapist teaches families practical skills and strategies that can be implemented daily at home, recognising that lasting change comes through consistent support beyond the fortnightly sessions. The service draws on evidence-based training including DIR Floortime, Zones of Regulation, and specialised approaches for autism, sensory processing, executive functioning and dysgraphia. Sessions are delivered in the home, school, kindergarten or community settings across Melbourne's Northern Suburbs.
