• Our approach

  Little Achievers uses a collaborative, family-centered approach that values the input of parents and teachers to create a supportive environment for achieving goals. Sessions are tailored to each child's needs and may include comprehensive assessments, individual intervention, group sessions focusing on social skills, handwriting, school readiness, and community access, as well as parent education and training packages. The team addresses learning difficulties, developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, and emotional dysregulation through functional assessments covering fine and gross motor skills, self-care abilities, handwriting, visual perception, and sensory processing. Both standardized and non-standardized assessments are used to understand each child's strengths and areas of development. The service is committed to empowering children to achieve their goals and enhance daily living skills within a supportive framework that includes teacher collaboration.

The service offers parent education and training packages as part of their intervention support. • Your first visit

  An assessment is essential at the first appointment to look at the child's strengths, areas of development, and to establish SMART client and family-centered goals. Depending on the reason for referral, the assessment may cover fine and gross motor skills, sensory motor and sensory processing challenges, self-care and functional skills, handwriting or prewriting skills, visual perception, developmental background, sensory attachment, and retained reflexes. The team uses both standardized and non-standardized assessments that are specific to each child's needs. This comprehensive initial evaluation forms the foundation for creating a tailored intervention plan that addresses the child's individual requirements.
