• Our approach

  Literacy Circle uses a structured literacy approach with explicit phonics instruction to help children master reading and writing. Sessions are skills-based and individualized, with specially designed educational resources that make learning fun. Teachers provide constant follow-up and adjust activities based on each child's needs and mood, creating a balance of support and challenge that builds confidence and plays to each student's strengths.

• Working with families

  Literacy Circle maintains direct communication with parents, providing feedback that families can action to support learning at home. Teachers are easy to deal with and accommodating regarding scheduling adjustments. Parents are welcome to chat with teachers after classes and are treated as partners in their child's literacy development.

  The team includes experienced teachers such as Jaki, Anthea, Ben, and Rosemary, who are professionally trained literacy educators. They understand individual student needs, are patient and caring, and bring expertise in phonics-based instruction and writing development.   The initial assessment provides an overview of your child's reading ability and any areas of concern. Our reading specialists use this assessment to recommend an individualized learning path that addresses any deficiencies detected.
