Our approach
LEAP Centre uses a holistic, multidisciplinary approach that brings together occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physiotherapists working as a coordinated team. Sessions are tailored to each child's individual needs and goals, with a focus on building skills, confidence, and independence in a nurturing and welcoming environment. The centre uses innovative methods across various settings—at the clinic, in the home, school, daycare, or via telehealth—to ensure flexible, accessible care. Whether through individual sessions, group programs, or intensive therapy blocks, the approach emphasises empowering children to learn, achieve, and progress at their own pace.
Working with families
Parents and carers are central to the centre's approach, with options for parent coaching and support built into the service offerings. The centre provides various resources, including parent tools and downloads, to help families support their child's development outside of sessions. Community-based therapy is available at daycare, school, or home, helping children build skills in the environments where they learn, play, and live. The flexible service options—including telehealth, mobile visits, and in-clinic sessions—are designed with family accessibility and convenience in mind, recognising that every family has different needs and circumstances.
