Our approach
Lit Therapy uses a flexible, client-centred approach tailored to each young person's needs. Sessions are 50 minutes long and focus on understanding what brings you in, then working together to create a support plan at your own pace. The team is skilled across multiple evidence-based therapy types including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and Schema Therapy, among others. Practitioners have special interest areas and encourage you to request the therapist who feels like the best fit—once you find them, they stay with you for the long haul. The service is designed especially for young people, with an understanding that emotions run high during periods of change like high school, exams, relationship difficulties and life transitions.
