Our approach
LGO Therapy Group uses evidence-based support services tailored to each child's unique developmental needs across five key areas: communication, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Sessions incorporate play-based activities to encourage learning and engagement, with a strong emphasis on practical skill-building for daily routines and independence. Therapists are specialists in helping children develop effective sensory reactions, appropriate behaviour and attention, and communication skills to advocate for their own needs. The service focuses on building foundation skills that allow learning to occur, including attention, language, play, and behaviour management. Sessions are designed to address individual challenges whether in concentration, social interaction, fine and gross motor skills, or emotional regulation.
Working with families
Family involvement is central to the service approach, with Family Coaching and Collaboration empowering parents and caregivers with practical tools and strategies to continue progress at home and in community settings. For youth and adults, there is goal-focused family and school collaboration that works together with families, educators, and support networks to create consistent strategies and lasting outcomes. The service emphasises creating a supportive community where families are an extension of the LGO family—they no longer walk alone once they're part of the service.
