• Our approach

  Learnful provides structured, teacher-led instructional classes that combine explicit early literacy and numeracy teaching with warm, engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. Sessions are carefully designed so learning feels playful and hands-on, with children developing foundational skills in phonological awareness, oral language, early reading, writing and number concepts through teacher-guided experiences. Within small, calm class environments, children participate in meaningful learning activities, teacher mini-lessons and problem-solving tasks that help them feel supported and capable. The approach emphasises building confidence and familiarity with school-style learning routines, structures and expectations, preparing children for a positive transition to the classroom.

• Working with families

  Learnful keeps families actively informed through a private Parents & Carers communication platform where teachers share weekly updates, learning insights, photos and teaching tips related to literacy and numeracy focuses. Families receive individualised written feedback on their child's participation and progress at the end of each term, and regular communication about the educational content and instructional areas being covered. Resources are also provided—including take-home learning materials and holiday packs—to support families in extending their child's learning at home. Open communication is encouraged throughout each term, and if concerns arise, families are invited to discuss these directly with the teacher.

• Meet the team

  Learnful is founded and led by Nikki, a bachelor-qualified teacher with over 18 years of classroom experience, including extensive time teaching Prep across Queensland and New South Wales schools. All classes are taught by highly experienced, bachelor-qualified Prep teachers who have deep knowledge of early literacy and numeracy instruction and understand the developmental needs of young learners. These teachers build genuine relationships with each child, provide personalised attention and support, and have held lead teacher roles and professional development experience. Every educator at Learnful is committed to helping children feel capable, confident and excited to learn.

• Your first visit

  At the first session, parents are welcome to attend the first 5–10 minutes to help their child become familiar with the classroom environment and meet their teacher. This initial orientation period allows children to settle comfortably before parents say goodbye so the child can participate fully in the instructional session with their peers. If a child needs additional support during their transition into the class, this can be discussed individually with the teacher. Learnful also welcomes families to attend complimentary trial sessions before enrolling, so you can experience the learning environment firsthand and decide if it's the right fit for your child.
