Klint Kids is a paediatric physiotherapy service offering complete support in clinic and in the community/home. We are a family-oriented and friendly team here to help your child achieve their potential so they have the best quality of life and help families navigate important transitions in life. Our approach
Klint Kids uses an adaptive, evidence-based approach centred on therapeutic play and real-life learning. Sessions are tailored to each child's needs, incorporating specialist techniques like Bobath therapy, Conductive Education, and gait training to help children move and adapt within their everyday routines. The team focuses on integrating therapy into daily activities like dressing, eating and playing, rather than relying on equipment alone. Sessions balance fun with carefully calibrated challenge, using movement, games and creative problem-solving to help the brain learn and adapt. The therapists apply principles of motor learning and neuroplasticity, adjusting their approach as your child grows and changes.
Working with families
Family involvement is at the heart of everything Klint Kids does. The team teaches you practical strategies during sessions, showing you how to handle, play with and support your child in ways that reinforce therapy throughout the day. They integrate learning into your everyday routines—from positioning and carrying through to dressing, eating and sleeping—making therapy realistic and enjoyable within family life. The team regularly checks in with you to ensure you're comfortable with the direction of treatment and remain your advocate as your child grows. As children reach adolescence, the service shifts to empower young people to take charge of what matters most to them, with your support.
Meet the team
Klint Kids has a large, expanding team of highly-skilled paediatric physiotherapists with expertise across a range of specialities including baby physiotherapy, gait and equipment assessment, and adolescent care. Team members have training in specialist approaches such as Bobath therapy, Conductive Education, and Elaine Owens footwear tuning. Several therapists may work with your child at different stages, each bringing specific expertise to match your child's evolving needs. The team includes a Clinical Lead in Paediatrics who oversees care, and therapists experienced in conditions ranging from Down syndrome and cerebral palsy to acquired brain injury and chronic conditions. Members have detailed knowledge of developmental neurology and motor learning principles to support meaningful progress.
