  • Our approach

    Every child is treated as an individual, with therapy plans developed according to their unique needs. Paediatric speech therapy is fun, evidence-based and empowering, using approaches like play-based intervention, table-top learning and positive behaviour support. Some sessions may be play-based while others use a structured approach; generally children complete blocks of activities separated by short breaks. Speech pathologists work alongside you and your child to ensure positive outcomes, and provide strategies and activities so you can support your child's communication skills at home.

    Parents and carers are treated as co-pilots in their child's early development and are empowered to make informed decisions about their child's development. Speech pathologists teach specific techniques you can use at home to encourage your child's skills, and provide strategies and activities to support communication skills outside sessions. When developing intervention plans, dedicated pathologists consider family goals alongside teachers' and NDIS goals. The admin team supports families through NDIS funding processes, and speech pathologists help align intervention to NDIS goals and support families through review meetings.

    The team includes Jarrad Lethbridge (Managing Director), Kirsty Rossiter (Practice Manager), four Senior Speech Pathologists (Bridget, Tahlia, Zoe and Jana), nine Speech Pathologists (Shirry, Demi, Lisa, Jess, Rose, Emily, Brooke, Ellen, Yashvi and Bianca), and occupational therapy staff including Kate (Senior Occupational Therapist) and Eveline (Occupational Therapist). The speech pathologists are experienced in delivering high-quality therapy to children across a range of learning delays and disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Global Development Delay, following the latest research to provide evidence-based practice.

  • Your first visit

    During your first few sessions, the speech therapist takes time to get to know your child by working at their pace and gradually engaging them with toys they like. The initial session aims at collecting assessment data for ongoing therapy and building comfort between your child and therapist. The second session focuses solely on goal setting, where the speech pathologist works closely with you and your child to develop functional goals. A service agreement will then be formulated outlining how many sessions will be required to meet those goals.
