  • Our approach

Journey Connect uses a participant-centred approach underpinned by allied health expertise and positive behaviour support. Sessions bring together clinicians and support workers who communicate about your child's goals, ensuring therapy and everyday support work in tandem rather than in isolation. The focus is on building capacity and independence, with support tailored around your child's strengths, personality and interests. Every decision starts with what's best for your child, not what's easiest to roster, and the team works to create genuine connection and trust that grows over time.

  • Meet the team

The team includes qualified Allied Health clinicians, Behaviour Support Practitioners drawn from various allied health disciplines, registered nurses who provide clinical oversight, and carefully matched support workers from diverse backgrounds. All team members hold current Yellow and Blue Cards, national police checks, and comply with reliability agreements so your child's support is never cancelled at short notice. The team undertakes ongoing training and professional development, with clinical oversight ensuring skills stay sharp and support is grounded in evidence and best practice.

  • Your first visit

Your initial conversation is straightforward—no forms required upfront. A real person listens to your situation and explains your options in plain language, helping you understand what support might work for your child. The team gets to know your child's goals, routines, personality, communication style, culture and interests to build the right fit. From there, they match your child with a small, consistent crew of support workers whose skills and personality align with your family's needs, ensuring support stays familiar even when someone is on leave.
