In-School Occupational Therapy provides over 10 years of experience in paediatric occupational therapy services to children attending Westminster School in Marion. Led by Debbie Phipps, a passionate and dedicated therapist with over 20 years in the field, we strive to support students in their school environment to improve engagement, learning and well-being. We believe that collaboration with educators is vital for successfully supporting student engagement and learning, ensuring that therapy is not only effective but also convenient for both students and teachers.

Our approach
In-School Occupational Therapy is passionate about providing services within the school setting, believing that close collaboration with educators is vital for supporting student engagement and learning. Sessions focus on fine and gross motor skills, self-regulation (including sensory processing, executive functioning and emotional regulation), and independence in self-care activities. Debbie is present at Westminster School on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the year, and available by phone during the remainder of the week, making therapy both effective and convenient. After each session, detailed feedback is provided to caregivers outlining completed activities and home program recommendations, ensuring parents stay fully informed of their child's progress.

Debbie Phipps is the sole practitioner at In-School Occupational Therapy, bringing over 20 years of experience in paediatric occupational therapy. She worked for 9 years in an OT clinic in Adelaide before transitioning to Westminster School, where she has supported students for the past 11 years. She is currently pursuing a research master's degree focused on self-regulation in education, further developing her expertise in sensory processing, emotional regulation and executive functioning.
