Our approach
Hope Kids OT uses a play-based, individualised approach tailored to each child's unique needs and strengths. Therapy sessions incorporate engaging activities such as climbing, jumping, drawing, and cutting, making learning enjoyable and effective. The practice is neurodiversity-affirming and uses evidence-based methods including sensory integration, structured play, and skill-building exercises. Sessions are designed to build children's confidence, independence, and capability across developmental areas including motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, emotional regulation, and social interaction. The therapy environment is purpose-built with sensory gym rooms and meticulously curated therapeutic resources across multiple eastern suburbs locations.
Working with families
Parents and carers are actively involved through education and support integrated into individual therapy sessions, with strategies and follow-through activities provided for home. The team believes in open communication and is committed to supporting families in understanding their child's needs and how services can benefit them. Individual therapy sessions include parent education to help families extend therapy strategies beyond the clinic. The service also offers parent and family workshops as part of their professional learning offerings. Throughout the process, the friendly staff support families with clear information and work collaboratively to create personalised plans that address each child's unique challenges.
