Our approach
Happy Learners uses a play-based and occupation-focused approach, grounded in meaningful engagement to support children's development and build skills. Sessions take place in thoughtfully designed clinic spaces featuring sensory gyms, functional areas for motor activities, and adaptable spaces for play and learning. Therapists tailor activities and strategies to each child's needs across areas like sensory processing, motor skills, emotional regulation, and independence in everyday tasks. The team believes every child has the capacity to engage, learn, grow, and find enjoyment in all areas of their lives, and they emphasise empowering both children and families to reach their goals with confidence and independence.
Working with families
Occupational Therapists work with parents to identify tailored strategies and help children build independence, confidence, and consistency in daily tasks and routines. The team focuses on empowering families to reach their goals and achieve meaningful outcomes for their children. Communication and collaboration with parents are central to developing home-based strategies that support the child across all environments, ensuring that skills learned in therapy transfer to everyday life at home and in the community.
