• Our approach

  The approach focuses on supporting each child's individual development towards meaningful, personally relevant goals rather than 'fixing' or 'curing'. Therapy is grounded in evidence-based assessment and takes a neuro-affirming stance that recognises all people think and perceive differently. Sessions are structured in cycles aligned with school terms, with clear written management plans and progress reviews every four school holidays. The team values the journey, understanding that therapy can be long-term, and works collaboratively with families and other professionals to coordinate the right mix of services for each child.

• Working with families

  The provider actively involves parents and caregivers throughout the therapy journey, starting with the Client Journey Planning Session where parents' questions and concerns are central to the discussion. Progress is reviewed collaboratively with families every school holidays (four times per year) during Goal Review sessions, where progress is discussed, areas of difficulty identified, and the management plan is adjusted together. The team provides education and information to support parents in understanding their child's development, and works collaboratively with families and other professionals in your child's life to coordinate care and ensure consistent support across all settings.

• Meet the team

  The team consists of experienced speech pathologists and paediatric occupational therapists led by Director Marion Giddy. Key discipline leaders include Emma Lefever (Speech Pathology) and Ashley Hannan (Occupational Therapy), alongside registered clinicians such as Sharlet Edwards, Molly Symonds, Robbie Corgat, Chloe Norman, and Tess Marson (a speech pathologist and orofacial myologist), among others. The team also includes occupational therapists Helena Manicaros, Kiara Moodley, Jaime Siu, David Powell, and Zoe Bryce, plus an Allied Health Assistant and client care support staff. All clinicians hold professional registrations and Medicare provider numbers, and the clinic has over a decade of practice experience.

• Your first visit

  The first appointment is a Client Journey Planning Session held with the child's primary caregivers or parents, without the child present, conducted either in person or via telehealth to suit your needs. The session creates a confidential space to discuss your child's development, background, skills, and your goals, while the team listens to your questions and concerns. Any existing reports or information from other professionals are reviewed to build a complete picture. This session is not an assessment of your child; instead, the team provides you with a clear plan for the assessment and feedback phases that will follow.
