  • Our approach

Cadence Psychology uses proven, evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Schema Therapy. Sessions are collaborative, grounded in the latest research, and delivered in plain language so you always understand what's happening and why it matters. The philosophy centres on genuine connection, putting your unique story at the heart of the process rather than fitting you into a standard framework. Each therapist works with you to identify your values and align your actions with what truly matters, creating a safe and unhurried space where you can reflect and discover your way forward.

  • Meet the team

The team at Cadence Psychology consists of two highly qualified psychologists. Dr Clinton Moore is a Clinical Psychologist (BA Psych, BA Hons, Doc. Clin Psych/MSc) who provides treatment for adults aged 18 and over at the North Sydney location. Elizabeth Giles is a Child and Adult Psychologist (BA, GradDipSci Psych) who works with children aged 3–17 years and adults at both Pymble and North Sydney locations. Both psychologists have over 15 years of experience helping clients break old habits and focus on change rather than illness, so you feel heard rather than diagnosed.

  • Your first visit

Your first session is a chance for the psychologist to get to know you and understand what you're hoping to gain from therapy. It's a confidential space where you can share your concerns at your own pace, and the therapist will listen without judgment. During this initial appointment, you'll work together to understand your unique situation and begin building a collaborative plan tailored to your goals and needs. The session lasts 50 minutes and provides a foundation for the therapeutic relationship moving forward.
