Our approach
Butter Fish Services uses a personalised approach focused on positive behaviour support (PBS) strategies tailored to each person's unique needs and goals. From the first session, qualified clinicians listen carefully to understand your situation and begin developing a customised behaviour support plan based on leading industry practices. The goal is to equip you with effective skills, practical techniques, and helpful exercises that build your confidence and capacity. Sessions are designed to be authentic and compassionate, walking alongside you through challenges and celebrating progress. Your dedicated service delivery coordinator monitors your progress and adjusts strategies as needed, keeping you informed every step of the way. The focus is on empowering you to take control and live in a way you're proud of.
Working with families
Parents and carers are central to the process at Butter Fish Services. The team actively listens to your needs and goals to create tailored support plans that work for your family. Communication is clear and consistent throughout—you won't be left guessing about next steps or timelines. Your dedicated service delivery coordinator keeps you informed and involved in pivoting strategies according to life events and your child's progress. The approach is built on authentic, compassionate support that celebrates wins alongside you and shares in the challenges you face.
Your first visit
The first appointment involves a thorough assessment where clinicians listen to the issues you or your child are facing and begin developing your personalised plan. The team takes time to understand your needs, goals, and the specific hurdles you want to address. This initial session sets the foundation for formulating a customised behaviour support plan based on response strategies and leading industry practices. You'll leave with clarity about the next steps and when you'll hear from the service again. The appointment can be conducted either face-to-face at your nearest clinic or virtually, depending on your preference. Your dedicated service delivery coordinator will then guide you through the ongoing support process.
