Our approach
Brook Psychology primarily uses evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), though clinicians also provide Schema Therapy, EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) depending on individual needs. Sessions are collaborative and structured, with the therapist and client working together to identify specific problems, develop strategies, and practice these in daily life. The practice emphasises a goal-oriented approach tailored to each person's circumstances. Treatment focuses on helping individuals manage their problems by changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours, which leads to improvements in emotional wellbeing. Sessions are confidential, and the team maintains strict confidentiality with discussion about your care only happening with your consent.
