    At Bright Start, therapy is guided by current evidence-based practice and tailored to each child's individual goals and needs. The team works from a client-centred, neurodiverse-affirming approach throughout the entire journey from initial enquiry to completion of service. Sessions are designed to be engaging, supportive, and fun, building on each child's strengths and interests. The clinic prioritises a collaborative approach to allied health, bringing parents and teachers into the therapy process where possible. A range of assessment and therapy services are provided, with Allied Health Assistants available to provide more intensive, frequent support in home and community settings under supervision of the child's practitioner.

    Family involvement is central to the clinic's approach. The team prioritises bringing parents and teachers into the therapy process as part of their team-based philosophy. Parent and educational staff support and training is offered as part of the service. The clinic works from a family-centred approach, with practitioners valuing meaningful relationships with families to help each child work towards their individual goals and achieve positive outcomes. Communication and collaboration with families are embedded throughout the entire service journey.

    Bright Start has a multidisciplinary team of extensively experienced practitioners. The speech pathology team includes nine qualified speech pathologists with experience ranging from over 7 years to 40 years, each with specialist interests in areas including autism assessment, developmental language disorder, early intervention, stuttering, and literacy. Two occupational therapists (one with 30 years experience, one with over 7 years) support with motor skills, sensory processing, and development. A registered psychologist and educational and developmental psychology registrar provide developmental assessments and evidence-based intervention. A registered music therapist with over 10 years experience offers child-led, neurodiverse-affirming practice. Allied Health Assistants and a practice manager with over 8 years experience complete the team.
