  • Our approach

Blueprint Psychology uses a person-centred, strengths-based approach grounded in evidence-based practice. The practice specialises in autism, ADHD, trauma, cognitive and educational differences, and anxiety, providing inclusive and neuroaffirming assessment and therapy. Sessions prioritise safety, autonomy, and the lived experience of individuals. For trauma specifically, the practice offers EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), an extensively researched first-line treatment for PTSD and other conditions. Sessions are structured collaboratively, with decisions about treatment always individualised to your child's circumstances and needs.

  • Working with families

Blueprint Psychology recognises that psychological concerns affect the whole family and actively involves parents and carers in treatment. For family-based therapy with eating disorders, all parents and siblings living in the home are expected to attend sessions as part of effective treatment. The practice works collaboratively with families, discussing treatment approaches and ensuring decisions are made together. The team explains evidence and considerations clearly to help families make informed decisions about their child's care.

  • Your first visit

The initial assessment consultation lasts 50 minutes and costs $250. During this appointment, the clinician will gather information about your child's history, presenting concerns, and goals. For family-based therapy (used with eating disorders), the first appointment includes an assessment followed by sessions where the clinician spends 5–10 minutes checking in with the young person, then 40–45 minutes working with the family. The specific details of your first appointment will depend on your child's needs and the clinician's recommendations.
