Our approach
At BIBIVOX, paediatric therapy is grounded in a respectful, play-based approach where connection takes priority over compliance. Sessions are tailored to meet each child where they are, combining evidence-based practice with genuine affirmation and authentic connection. The therapist uses a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach to ensure therapy feels safe and supportive. Sessions can be delivered flexibly—online, at home, in the community, or in the clinic—in whatever format works best for the family. Therapy is designed to be joyful and celebratory, building experiences that honour each child's unique communication journey.
Meet the team
BIBIVOX is founded and led by Hilana Bibi, a speech pathologist (MSLP) with a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Sydney, a Master's in Conference Interpreting and Translation, and a Bachelor of Arts in Languages and Linguistics. Hilana brings professional experience spanning opera singing, conference interpreting, language teaching, and speech pathology. She is neurodivergent-informed and brings trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice to all sessions, with a strong commitment to client autonomy and dignity.
Your first visit
The first step is a free 15-minute initial consultation (no pressure to commit) where your concerns and questions are discussed to see if BIBIVOX is the right fit. You can contact the practice by email, phone, or book directly online. No referral is needed to get started, though a Medicare plan from your GP allows access to 5 subsidised sessions per calendar year. A formal assessment follows, which typically takes 1–2 weeks to schedule and lasts 45–90+ minutes depending on your child's age and needs, with a report, resources, and specialist correspondence included.
