Our approach
Beyond The Paddock uses animal-assisted therapy that integrates horses and other animals into therapeutic sessions to create a supportive, calming environment. The approach leverages the bond between humans and animals to enhance emotional, social, and psychological well-being while building capacity across various domains. Sessions are designed by qualified allied health professionals—occupational therapists, counsellors, and speech pathologists—to meet each individual's specific needs. All horses and animals undergo suitability assessments and are highly trained for therapy delivery. The sessions take place outdoors on a private 11-acre property, which creates a relaxed setting away from distractions where children can work on skills like regulation, confidence, communication, and social interaction without realising they're participating in structured therapy.
