Beyond Speech is dedicated to providing high quality, family centred Allied Health services to the Yarra Valley and surrounds. They believe everyone has something to say and can be supported to say it, that all communication is valid, and that feeding and eating should be enjoyable, safe, and shared. - Speech & Language Skills
- Assessment and treatment of difficulties with speech sounds, expressive language, receptive language, fluency (stuttering), social skills and voice.
- School, Kinder and Childcare Visits
- Assessment, treatment and consultation services for individual students and schools, including support for teachers with literacy development and classroom strategies.
- Home Visits
- Assessments, treatment, and consultations conducted in the comfort of client homes as needed and where suitable.
- AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication)
- Support for clients with complex communication needs and non-speaking individuals through assessment, resources, therapy, and training for families and care teams.
- Literacy
- Assessment and treatment of spelling, writing and reading difficulties for all ages using evidenced based Systematic Synthetic Phonics programs.
- Aged Care
- Assessment and treatment of swallowing and communication skills in home or aged care facility settings.
- Music Therapy
- Music therapy to address emotional, cognitive, and physical challenges, enhance communication skills, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve motor coordination.
- Therapy Assistance
- Therapy assistants assist clients to work towards their therapy goals between usual therapy sessions.
- Orofacial Myology
- Therapy for proper orofacial muscle function in relation to dental and speech development using positive behaviour modification.
- Infant Feeding
- Assessment and treatment of feeding difficulties including early breast or bottle feeding, commencing or progressing through solids, and support for picky eaters.
- Social Groups
- Social groups throughout the year designed to provide children and teens with a supportive environment for interacting and engaging with peers.
- My Aged Care
- Support with swallowing and mealtime safety, communication support, and tailored therapy and training for clients, families, and care teams.

Beyond Speech has a highly experienced team including Speech Pathologists, Orofacial Myologists, a certified Music Therapist, and Therapy Assistants. Team members are skilled in working with diverse populations across all ages and abilities, including those with developmental delay, learning difficulties, autism, Down Syndrome, and other complex needs. The team prides itself on being honest, kind, and dedicated—they look after clients like family and are committed to continuously improving their skills and knowledge. Members collaborate closely with schools, other allied health professionals, and medical providers in the area. The collective philosophy emphasises that everyone matters and that all communication is valid.
