  • Our approach

The clinic tailors treatment to each child's unique needs and goals through evidence-based, compassionate care. Sessions draw on a range of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, play therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma-informed practice. The team specialises in early intervention and works to help children and young people understand and work through their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Sessions are conducted in various settings—in-person, online, school-based, and sometimes home visiting or nature-based therapy—depending on what suits the child best. The values of professionalism, collaboration, compassion, and commitment guide how the clinic interacts with every young person.

  • Meet the team

The clinic employs clinical psychologists, counselling psychologists, accredited mental health social workers, a speech pathologist, and a sex and relationship therapist. All psychologists and occupational therapists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and members of professional bodies including the Australian Psychological Society or Australian Association of Psychologists. Social workers are registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers and have completed rigorous accreditation as accredited mental health specialists (AMHSWs) requiring minimum two years' mental health experience. Many team members have specialised training and interest in working with children and adolescents, with expertise in areas including autism, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, attachment, and neurodiversity. Two therapy dogs, Aggie and Lexi, are also part of the team for animal-assisted work.
