• Our approach

  Aspire uses a play-based and holistic approach grounded in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and Early Intensive Behaviour Intervention (EIBI) techniques. Sessions employ a variety of evidence-based strategies including verbal behaviour, natural environment training, play coaching, and discrete trial training. The focus extends across language, motor skills, play, social skills, attending skills, theory of mind, and executive functioning. Parent involvement is central to the approach, with clinicians teaching families proven learning techniques during the most effective window for learning—early childhood.

• Working with families

  Parent involvement is fundamental to the program's success. Aspire teaches parents the proven learning techniques directly and ensures extensive parent training is integrated throughout all programs. During fortnightly team meetings and regular parent coaching sessions, families collaboratively set and review goals alongside clinicians and program managers. The provider explicitly recognises that learning impairments affect the whole family and works to empower parents with tools to manage barriers to learning and reinforce improved behaviours across home, educational, and community settings.

• Meet the team

  The team includes over 30 Early Intensive Behaviour Intervention practitioners led by experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners (BSPs) and Program Managers. The clinical leadership includes Dr Amanda Mazzoni, CEO and registered psychologist with a PhD in Child Psychiatry and over 10 years' field experience, and Dr Kylie Henderson, Managing Director with a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology and 25+ years in mental health. Senior staff hold qualifications as Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), and senior Registered Behaviour Technicians (RBTs) have completed comprehensive in-house training with at least 18 months of experience.

• Your first visit

  During an initial assessment, a therapist will conduct a behavioural observation and skills assessment with your child while also discussing their individual needs and reviewing any previous reports. This process establishes the foundation for creating a personalised plan tailored to your child's specific strengths and areas for development. The assessment helps clinicians understand your child's learning style and informs the goals and strategies that will guide the program forward.
