Ascot Vale Paediatrics was established in October 2023 by Dr Jo Martin. The practice emphasises personalised attention, open communication and a family-centred approach to paediatric care. They provide exceptional, evidence-based healthcare for children from birth to 18 years in a calm and comforting environment. Their team of experienced clinicians and allied health professionals deliver holistic care under one roof, including paediatricians, dietitians, speech pathologists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other specialists. They support children with general paediatrics, newborn and infant care, allergy and immunology, respiratory problems, growth and endocrine concerns, developmental and behavioural disorders, ADHD, ASD, gastrointestinal issues, and neurological conditions. Note: Currently at capacity for new paediatric behavioural and developmental referrals; accepting general medical and baby referrals under 12 months.

Meet the team
The paediatric team includes nine paediatricians with varied expertise, including Dr Jo Martin (who established the practice and has worked locally for over 15 years), Dr Freya Kahn (Paediatrician and Adolescent Medicine Physician), and Dr Amanda Stock (Paediatrician and Clinical Hypnotherapist), alongside a General Practitioner. The allied health team comprises a paediatric dietitian, speech pathologist, educational and developmental psychologist, family therapist and mental health social worker, registered nurse and lactation consultant, pelvic health physiotherapists, occupational therapists, clinical psychologist, mental health nurse practitioner, and additional psychologists and dietitians, ensuring comprehensive, holistic care across multiple disciplines.
