Our approach

ARC Tuition specialises in high school mathematics through small group classes (2-4 students), one-on-one tutoring, and online sessions. Group classes balance collaborative learning, discussion, and individual attention in rigorous tutorials delivered by expert course teachers. For students needing extra support with homework or exam preparation, supervised study sessions provide a quiet, focused environment with a tutor available to answer questions. One-on-one lessons offer intensive, tailored support from experienced tutors, while online sessions accommodate those who prefer remote learning or have busy schedules. Lessons typically run 60 minutes for Years 7-10 and 90 minutes for Years 11-12, with supervised study sessions lasting 2 hours.

Meet the team

The team consists of two co-founders and senior tutors with over 30 years of combined tutoring experience. Mr. Ciaran Edwards holds a GradDip in Learning and Teaching, a BSc in Mathematics, and a BMus in Performance, and has supported hundreds of students across varying ability levels. Dr. Ronald Chan holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering, a BEng (Hons I), and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics, and brings more than 20 years of HSC Mathematics tutoring experience plus over 10 years as a lecturer at UNSW. Both are experienced STEM educators committed to helping students achieve their mathematical goals.
