Our approach
Active Kids OT delivers evidence-based occupational therapy to help children discover their potential and participate in activities that matter to them. The approach focuses on what children want, need, or are expected to do in everyday life, with therapists using best-practice interventions tailored to each child's goals. Services include specialised approaches such as CO-OP therapy (a task-oriented intervention where children choose three important activities to work on), bimanual training for cerebral palsy, and intensive strength and fitness programs. Sessions take place in the bright, welcoming clinic room in Kallista, or within the child's home, school, or community environment depending on what works best for achieving therapy goals.
