• Our approach

  Practitioners use a neurodiversity-affirming approach that celebrates diverse ways of thinking and learning, recognising the inherent value of neurodivergent individuals. The work is person-centred, tailoring strategies to each child's strengths, needs, and goals so they remain in control of their journey. Services integrate contemporary research with practitioner expertise, cultural knowledge, and lived experience to support meaningful outcomes. Support includes Positive Behaviour Support focused on understanding behaviour, building skills and reducing restrictive practices, as well as Social Work services delivered in collaboration with other professionals like Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists. Sessions take place in welcoming, inclusive environments at home, school, or in the community.

• Working with families

  Families are actively involved in goal-setting and planning, with practitioners taking time to understand each child's values, goals, and everyday contexts. The team believes the best outcomes happen when families, support networks, and communities work together, and they work closely with families and carers to create meaningful, sustainable outcomes. Families are provided with resources and training to ensure consistent support across all environments, whether at home, school, or in the community. Regular communication and progress reviews with families ensure that support remains responsive and tailored to your child's evolving needs.

• Meet the team

  The team includes 21 expert practitioners with 120+ years combined experience supporting over 500 families. Clinical team members are registered Behaviour Support Practitioners and Social Workers with qualifications and experience ranging from 3 to 15+ years, many trained in neurodiversity-affirming practices. The team is multidisciplinary and works collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, and other health professionals to provide comprehensive, coordinated support. There is also a cultural supervisor on staff, and emerging practitioners completing supervised placements contribute to service delivery.

• Your first visit

  The journey begins with an initial assessment in a supportive environment, where the team carefully reviews your referral or enquiry within 2 business days. An initial phone consultation follows to discuss your child's needs, answer questions, and determine the best support pathway. If appropriate, an initial assessment is scheduled, after which the team works collaboratively with you to develop a tailored support plan. Once everything is in place, support commences with the strategies and services outlined in your plan, with regular progress reviews and adjustments along the way.
