  • Our approach

Walkie Talkie Early Intervention uses a developmental, evidence-based and multidisciplinary approach to therapy, with learning through fun and play in both individual and group-based sessions. The practice is mobile and delivers therapy in your child's everyday environments—at home, school, preschool or in the community—so that children can generalise skills where they live and learn. Services include individual therapy, group therapy, and parent and caregiver training sessions, with parents and teachers becoming an integral part of the therapy team. Whether your child is receiving speech pathology, occupational therapy or the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), individualised plans are developed in consultation with you and your child's teachers. This holistic approach empowers children and families to engage in their environment and community.

  • Working with families

Parents and teachers become an integral part of the therapy team at Walkie Talkie Early Intervention. The practice offers parent and caregiver training sessions alongside individual and group therapy, and services include Parent-ESDM, a parent coaching course that up-skills parents to deliver early intervention within your child's daily routine. Individualised plans are devised in consultation with parents, teachers and your child, and the practice fosters a holistic approach to childhood development. You can contact the team directly on 0439 805 486, 0403 258 456 or info@walkietalkieearlyintervention.com.au to discuss how they can support your family.
