The aim is to create a centre of excellence in community paediatrics, designed specifically for the needs of children and adolescents. Sessions involve collaborative care tailored to each child's individual circumstances and developmental stage.

Working with families

Parents and carers are central to the clinic's approach, with the philosophy emphasising family-centred care in a collaborative environment. The doctors provide care to the level they would wish for their own children and families. The clinic maintains strong links with the community and works with families to support their child's behaviour, development and learning. Communication with parents is built into the assessment and treatment process, particularly for developmental and autism assessments where detailed information about your child is gathered.

Meet the team

The clinic was established by experienced paediatricians Dr Annie Moulden, Dr Margie Danchin, Dr Jayne Smart, Dr Lexi Frydenberg and Associate Professor Jane Munro. The team includes 18 general paediatricians with extensive experience across all areas of child health. There are also specialist paediatricians in areas such as respiratory and sleep medicine, neurology, ear nose and throat surgery, and rheumatology. Allied health professionals include physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, dietitians, speech pathologists and a neurophysiology scientist. The Developmental and Autism Assessment Team comprises paediatricians, psychologists and a speech pathologist.
