  • Our approach

The Tomatis® Method re-patterns the connection between the ear, the brain, and the body through specialised listening sessions. During the passive phase, clients listen to filtered music through headphones equipped with bone and air conduction in the comfort of their home, designed by a Tomatis® consultant to stimulate and regulate auditory processing, learning, and emotional responses. At one stage in the program, the consultant may include an active phase where clients use a microphone to produce verbal repetition, with their voice instantly modified and re-transmitted back through the headphones using the TalksUp® device. Regular follow-ups are organised between listening courses to evaluate progress and inform the design of future programs based on remaining needs.

  • Working with families

Parents and carers are actively involved throughout the Tomatis® process. Initial assessment information is gathered from guardians and parents through detailed interviews about the child's past, current development, and any known illnesses or injuries. Listening sessions typically take place in the comfort of the family home, and regular follow-ups are organised between each listening course to evaluate progress, discuss changes, and plan future programs. The provider communicates directly with families through these follow-up appointments and welcomes feedback and suggestions to improve the program and support provided.

  • Your first visit

The first appointment involves a comprehensive listening assessment called a Preliminary Interview, which evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of your or your child's global development, listening, learning, and communication and socialisation skills. Before commencing, you can claim a free 20-minute discovery phone consultation (valued at $125) to find out if the Tomatis® Method can bring changes to your child's life. The assessment process gathers specific information about the child's past and current development to help determine the best course of action for their individual needs.
