  • Our approach

The service uses evidence-based, person-centred therapy delivered through a skilled multidisciplinary team. Sessions are tailored to each child's unique needs and goals, with options for 1:1 therapy, group sessions, and specialised activities in the paediatric gym—a fun, engaging space equipped with sensory tools, climbing structures, swings, and balance equipment designed to support development through play. Therapy can take place at the clinic in Findon, in your home, at school, or in the community, giving families flexibility to integrate therapy into everyday routines. The team focuses on building confidence, independence, and critical developmental skills through personalised support that feels natural and achievable.

  • Working with families

The team works collaboratively with parents and carers throughout therapy. Your therapist will provide caregiver education, develop strategies tailored to your family's routines, and consult with you regularly about your child's progress and goals. Therapy is delivered with a family-centred approach, meaning your input and observations are valued and incorporated into the plan. Communication happens through discussions during sessions, and the team is always available to discuss how therapy integrates into daily life at home, school, or in the community to ensure strategies are practical and sustainable for your family.

  • Meet the team

The paediatric team includes occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, and allied health assistants, all experienced in working with children. The Clinical Director is Renee Romeo, a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist with 18 years' experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, developmental disorders, genetic disorders, and learning difficulties. Other team members include Caitlyn Yeo, an OT with experience across clinic, school, home, and community settings; Elise Vaughan, an OT with training in trauma-informed practice and sensory assessment; and others with expertise in speech pathology, physiotherapy, and movement support. All therapists hold relevant Allied Health qualifications and bring specialised training in areas such as neurodiversity-affirming practice, sensory integration, and family-centred care.

Session length varies between clinics and services, so check it with the provider when you book. The number depends on your child's goals; the pathologist will recommend a plan after the initial assessment.
