About Think Autism
Think Autism is a mobile paediatric occupational therapy practice dedicated to providing early intervention support to neurodivergent children and their families in Perth, WA. We're a passionate team focused on delivering quality, child-led therapy within a neurodiversity-affirming framework, celebrating the unique minds and diverse talents of each child and working closely with families to understand their child's interests, learning styles and support needs.
A therapy that helps children and adults develop the everyday skills needed for daily life — from dressing, writing and play to sensory processing and school participation. Occupational therapists assess what is getting in the way and design practical strategies to build independence and confidence.
Speech Pathology

Clinical Supervision
Structured support for practitioners to reflect on their clinical work, receive expert guidance and maintain professional standards. Supervision is required for many Allied Health and mental health professionals and supports safe, high-quality care.

Our approach
Think Autism uses a child-led, play-based approach grounded in neurodiversity-affirming practice. Sessions are active and collaborative, with therapists matching your child's energy level and engaging in their favourite activities and interests. The team works within a trauma-informed framework inspired by approaches that centre respect, autonomy and connection. In every session, you'll see therapists actively moving and participating in play that feels natural and meaningful to your child, while building skills for everyday life. Goals are developed together with your family and progress is made across your child's natural environments—home, school and community—where everyone involved can work as a team.
Working with families
Families and carers are central to therapy and included at every step of the process. You are welcome in all sessions, and goals are developed together with your occupational therapist for your child to be supported both at home and at school. The team actively encourages childcare, preschool and school teachers to stay up-to-date and participate in therapy goals. Your child's progress is recognised and supported by everyone involved in their life, and the practice believes the best support happens in your child's natural environments where all key people can work as a team.
Your first visit
Your first appointment is an Initial Family Meeting lasting 1–2 hours, held with caregivers to gather background information and understand your child's strengths, challenges and your family's priorities. Before the meeting, you'll receive an intake form to complete, and it's helpful to bring any existing reports from other health professionals, including diagnostic reports and school or childcare feedback. During this session, the occupational therapist learns about your routines and what matters most to your family. Following the meeting, a Therapy Support Plan will be developed together with you, reflecting the goals you've identified and the assessment insights gathered.
