  • Working with families

The OT Group prioritises ongoing client relationships and individual family needs and goals, with therapists frequently collaborating and sharing progress updates with parents and caregivers. The team celebrates achievements and communicates regularly with families about therapy outcomes and their child's progress. Therapists work alongside parents to advocate for their child and design therapy plans that fit with family circumstances. Sessions can take place in home, school and community settings, allowing for integration of therapy into the family's everyday routines. The approach emphasises partnership with families throughout the intervention process.

  • Meet the team

The leadership team averages over 35 years in healthcare and includes Area Managers, Regional Managers and Team Leaders across Victoria. Several team members, including Ruel Solitario and Kye Pearce, have specialised experience in paediatric practice. Kye has completed accredited training as an SOS feeding therapist and has a special interest in early intervention and working with young children and their families. All therapists are fully qualified occupational therapists with relevant tertiary qualifications and AHPRA registration.

There's no "too early." If you have concerns about your child's talking or understanding at any age, an assessment can clarify whether support would help.

Session length varies between clinics and services, so check it with the provider when you book. The number depends on your child's goals; the pathologist will recommend a plan after the initial assessment.
