Our approach
Learning happens at each child's pace in a calm, caring space where literacy and numeracy skills are built through practical, hands-on strategies. Sessions focus on closing foundational gaps and rebuilding confidence step by step, with tailored support for dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, ASD, and other learning differences. The tutor uses concrete materials, real-world examples, and proven methods like structured phonics and incremental skill-building so that concepts truly click for the child rather than simply being memorised. Every lesson is individually designed to match the child's learning needs, with a nurturing, patient approach that celebrates progress and keeps learning engaging and positive.
Meet the team
The Learning Circle Tutor is led by Nicola, an experienced educator with nearly three decades in education. She specialises in working with children who learn differently, including those with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, ASD, and other learning profiles. Nicola creates individualised literacy and numeracy lessons tailored to each child's needs, and is skilled at spotting when concepts aren't making sense and adapting her teaching approach accordingly. She fosters a calm, nurturing learning environment and is experienced in supporting neurodivergent children with empathy and flexibility.
