About The Child Development Network
The Child Development Network (CDN) provides a co-located group of private practicing medical, psychology, speech pathology and educational professionals to help children, young people and their families who need additional support due to differences in development and behaviour. The network enables collaboration between private practice clinicians to provide excellence in assessment, treatment and continuing management.

- Medical doctors with specialty training and experience in child development, including how children grow, acquire knowledge and skills, and learn to behave and socialise.
- Psychology
- Specialist psychology services including Clinical Neuropsychology and Clinical or General Psychology to help people reach their full potential and lead meaningful lives.
- Speech Pathology
- Diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders, including difficulties with speaking, listening, understanding language, reading, writing, and social skills.
- Education and Literacy
- Diagnosis and management of learning differences using evidence-based programs and practices administered with professionalism and care.
- Assistive Technology
- Software and hardware solutions to allow students to access the curriculum fully and enable them to do what they could not do without it.

Our approach
The Child Development Network applies a set of research and theory-guided principles tailored to each stage of your child's journey. Sessions focus on understanding and supporting your child's development across communication, learning, behaviour and social skills, with excellence and collaboration at the heart of the work. The approach values each child as unique, respects your family's central role, and considers your child's particular environment including school and existing support networks. Clinicians are committed to providing high quality services that help parents, families and children navigate through their life journey, working towards goals with hope, optimism and regular review.

The Child Development Network recognises that families make a central contribution to your child's care and are valued partners in the work. Communication and collaboration are built into the approach, with clinicians committed to working together with parents and families. The network values mutual respect, fair sharing of responsibilities, and clear understanding of roles and purposes in all relationships with families. Your privacy is maintained at all times, and feedback is welcomed—you can discuss concerns directly with your clinician or contact the Practice Manager via email at cdn@cd.net.au.
Meet the team
The Child Development Network brings together private practicing medical, psychology, speech pathology and educational professionals. The team includes Developmental Paediatricians (medical doctors with specialty training in how children grow, acquire knowledge and skills, and develop behaviour and social abilities), Psychologists with expertise in Clinical Neuropsychology and Clinical or General Psychology, Speech Pathologists, Education and Literacy Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, and Assistive Technology Specialists. All clinicians are dedicated professionals focused on listening to you and your child, providing respectful care, maintaining privacy, and offering answers to your questions.
