Our approach
The service uses evidence-based practice grounded in person-centred decision-making and Positive Behaviour Support principles. Sessions are informed by neuro-affirming and trauma-informed care, with the goal of building communication, independence and emotional regulation rather than simply reducing concerning behaviours. Before developing practical, respectful strategies, the team takes time to understand each child's strengths, interests, environment, communication style and aspirations. All recommendations are designed to be achievable and meaningful for the participant and their family, reflecting the latest research in behaviour support, psychology and neuroscience.
