  • Our approach

Sessions address speech articulation, voice quality, fluency, language understanding and expression, phonological awareness, pre-literacy, reading, spelling and pragmatic skills. Therapy is tailored to each child's needs and delivered by certified, experienced speech pathologists trained in evidence-based approaches including Hanen programs, Lindamood-Bell, Auditory Processing Training and the Lidcombe Stuttering Program. The service emphasises early intervention as research demonstrates that children benefit from therapy as soon as possible in their development, and many communication disorders can be reversed or prevented with early treatment. Parents and carers are actively involved in the therapy process to support their child's progress.

  • Meet the team

The team is led by Ginny Chang Mockford, a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents with communication difficulties. She holds a Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the University of Queensland, and is a registered member of Speech Pathology Australia with CPSP status. Ginny is multilingual (English, Mandarin and Hokkien) and holds certification in multiple specialist programs including Hanen, Lindamood-Bell and the Lidcombe Stuttering Program, bringing extensive expertise in bilingual language development and literacy.
