Our approach
Sessions at Speech Within Reach are engaging, tailored to each child's interests, and use games and practical activities to build skills in a supportive environment. The therapy focuses on developing strong speech, language, and early literacy skills through play-based activities that fit naturally into everyday life. You'll receive simple, practical strategies and activities to use at home between sessions—no complicated homework, just ideas that work within your daily routines. Goals are regularly reviewed and adjusted as your child grows and develops, celebrating progress along the way. The overall approach is warm, supportive, and family-centred, with the philosophy of making speech pathology truly within reach for every family.
Working with families
Parents and carers are central to the therapy process at Speech Within Reach. You'll receive simple, practical strategies and activities to support your child's progress at home, designed to fit naturally into daily routines without adding extra burden. Regular reviews celebrate progress and allow the therapy plan to be adjusted as your child grows and develops. Communication about your child's needs and goals happens from the initial consultation, and there's an open invitation to contact the service directly to discuss how support can work for your family.
Meet the team
Stephanie is the founder and speech pathologist behind Speech Within Reach. She has worked across several private practices and primarily supports preschool children with speech, language, and early literacy skills, with a focus on building strong communication foundations in the early years. She sees clients in clinic, online, and in schools, bringing practical, supportive and family-centred expertise to her work.
Your first visit
The first appointment starts with a relaxed assessment to understand your child's communication strengths and areas to support. This may include play-based activities, conversation, simple tasks, and where appropriate, standardised assessment tools. The session is designed to be engaging and tailored to your child's interests, creating a comfortable introduction to therapy. There's no need for a referral—you can contact the service directly to discuss your child's needs and arrange an initial consultation at a time that works for your family.
