  • Our approach

The Speech and Feeding Centre's approach is grounded in evidence-based care tailored to each child's individual needs. Speech pathologists work closely with children and families to develop personalised therapy plans, focusing on building skills and confidence in communication, swallowing and feeding. Sessions are collaborative, with therapists discovering engaging strategies and activities suited to each child, whether addressing speech clarity, language skills, feeding difficulties or other challenges. The team emphasises creating a welcoming, supportive therapy space where children feel confident and eager to learn. This person-centred approach recognises that every child's journey is unique and therapy is designed to be meaningful and enjoyable.

  • Working with families

The Speech and Feeding Centre strongly believes in working together with families, doctors and other therapists to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach. Speech pathologists work collaboratively with parents and carers throughout assessment and intervention, involving them in developing tailored treatment goals and strategies. Families are supported in creating positive mealtime experiences and are trained on how to reinforce therapy strategies at home, making meals and snacks easier for everyone. The team communicates regularly with families to ensure therapy is meeting your child's needs and priorities. This partnership approach recognises that parents and carers are essential to your child's progress and outcomes.
