Our approach
Therapy sessions are tailored to each child's needs and may include play-based games or activities aligned with their interests. Sessions are usually 45 minutes in length and offered weekly. The team works collaboratively with families and teachers, providing strategies to practice at home and at school. The approach is dynamic and engaging, with therapists adapting sessions to enable children with challenging behaviours, high anxiety or other challenges to participate meaningfully. Strategies and techniques are related to everyday life, making follow-up tasks easy to apply during regular routines and busy schedules.
Working with families
The team works collaboratively with families and teachers, providing strategies to practice at home and at school. Strategies, techniques and homework are related to everyday life to make follow-up tasks easy to apply during regular routines and busy schedules, without adding pressure. School observations may be conducted to provide a holistic approach to your child's development. A written report is provided including results, strategies and intervention recommendations.

Jessica Singer is the Principal Speech Therapist leading a highly skilled team based in Edgecliff, NSW with almost 10 years of experience. Team members are fully qualified speech therapists and members of Speech Pathology Australia. The team has several areas of special interest including social skills, early intervention, selective mutism, literacy and speech sound disorders. They regularly meet and problem-solve together, sharing professional development, resources, experiences and ideas to build knowledge and expertise and ensure top-notch service.
Your first visit
The first step is a comprehensive, age-appropriate assessment to understand your child's current ability, strengths, needs and goals. This may include school observations to provide a holistic approach to your child's development. A written report is provided with the child's results, strategies and intervention recommendations. Assessments can also involve screenings conducted in preschools or classrooms in a comfortable environment, allowing the therapists to collaborate with educators and teachers to gather valuable insights about your child's communication.
