• Our approach

  The Shichida Method is a whole-brain early learning approach that focuses on developing both the logical left brain and the intuitive right brain through structured, engaging activities. Each 50-minute weekly lesson includes 20–25 carefully designed activities such as flashcards, memory games, imagery training, music and rhythm, logic puzzles, and parent-child bonding exercises. Classes are conducted in small groups of up to six children, creating a supportive environment where every child can participate actively and receive individual attention. The program emphasises building memory, concentration, creativity and confidence during the critical early years of brain development, while also strengthening the parent-child bond as a core part of the learning journey.

• Working with families

  Parent involvement is central to the Shichida philosophy—one parent attends each 50-minute weekly class alongside their child to support learning and strengthen the parent-child bond. The team communicates regularly with families about their child's progress and provides thoughtful strategies to support learning at home, helping parents understand their child's learning style so they can continue the "brain-boosting" lifestyle beyond the classroom. Centre staff are described as friendly, approachable and professional, consistently going above and beyond to accommodate families and create a warm, welcoming environment. Access to a members-only portal, along with guidance from teachers and centre managers, ensures parents have the tools and techniques they need to reinforce their child's learning at home.

• Meet the team

  The Shichida Australia team is led by Founder and Director Shiaoling Lim, who brought the Shichida Method to Australia in 2009 and has built a passionate, experienced early learning team. All centre managers and instructors are certified in the Shichida Method, bringing expertise, professionalism and genuine belief in every child's potential. The Parramatta centre is managed by Shabnam, alongside other highly trained staff members. Each team member brings years of experience, a nurturing approach, and strong communication skills, working closely with families to create a supportive, stimulating and joyful learning environment. The entire Shichida Australia team is committed to delivering consistent, high-quality early childhood education that reflects the organisation's values and vision for whole-brain learning.

• Your first visit

  Your child's first experience will be a trial class, a real 50-minute Shichida lesson tailored to your child's age group. This gives you the chance to see first-hand what classes are like, observe how your child responds to the pace and activities, and understand the classroom environment before making an enrolment decision. During the trial, you'll attend alongside your child and receive guidance from the team on which class would be best suited to your age group. The trial costs $70 and allows you to experience the program authentically before committing to enrolment.
