• Our approach

  The Shichida Method uses a whole-brain learning approach combining 20–25 engaging activities within each 50-minute weekly class, including flashcards, memory games, imagery training, music and rhythm activities, logic puzzles, and parent-child bonding exercises. Classes are held in small groups of no more than 6 children, with one parent attending to support learning and extend the activities at home. The lessons are structured yet playful, designed to stimulate children's imagination, memory and concentration while keeping them engaged and excited about learning. The program takes advantage of the critical early years by providing activities that nurture both the logical left brain and intuitive right brain, helping children develop confidence, creativity and a genuine love of learning.

• Working with families

  One parent attends each 50-minute weekly lesson to support their child's learning and extend activities at home; the program recognises parents as their child's first and best teacher and provides tools and techniques in class that families can continue in a "brain-boosting lifestyle" outside the classroom. Staff maintain strong communication skills and work closely with families to create a supportive learning environment, with centre managers and instructors taking time to connect with parents and share thoughtful strategies to support children's development. The centre places emphasis on clear communication and collaboration with families, ensuring parents understand their child's progress and feel supported throughout their learning journey.

Cindy is the Glen Waverley Centre Manager, leading a team committed to delivering excellence in early childhood education. The team has years of experience, a nurturing approach, and strong communication skills, working closely with families to create a supportive, stimulating, and joyful learning environment. • Your first visit

  A trial class lasts 50 minutes and is specifically tailored to your child's age group in a small group of no more than 6 children, allowing you to experience a real Shichida lesson firsthand before deciding to enrol. During the trial, you'll see how your child responds to the pace and classroom environment, and staff will help guide you toward the best class for your child's age. The trial class costs $70 and gives families the opportunity to understand the program's approach to learning before making a commitment. After the trial, the centre team can answer any questions and support you through the enrolment process if the program feels right for your family.
