• Our approach

  Classes at Shichida are structured 50-minute weekly lessons held in small groups of up to 6 children, packed with 20-25 engaging activities designed to stimulate whole-brain development. Each lesson balances activities like flashcards, memory games, imagery training, music, rhythm work and logic puzzles alongside parent-child bonding exercises. The approach focuses on nurturing both the logical left brain and the intuitive right brain during the critical early years when brain plasticity is at its peak. Children develop stronger concentration, curiosity and confidence through consistent exposure to these carefully sequenced activities, with parents playing an active role as their child's first and best teacher.

• Working with families

  Parents attend every class alongside their child and play an active role in the learning process, as the Shichida philosophy recognises that parents are their child's first and best teacher. The team provides tools and techniques during class that families can continue using at home to support brain-boosting learning in everyday life. Centre managers and staff communicate well with parents about their child's progress and are approachable and available to discuss strategies for supporting development, such as managing focus and building confidence. Families also receive access to a members-only parent portal and workbooks designed to reinforce learning at home and while travelling.

  All centre managers and instructors are certified in the Shichida Method and bring years of experience, professional expertise and genuine belief in every child's potential. The team combines a nurturing approach with strong communication skills, working closely with families to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment. Shichida Australia is led by Founder and Director Shiaoling Lim, who brought the method to Australia in 2009 and has built a passionate team dedicated to whole-brain learning. Individual centre managers named on the site include experienced educators such as Anna (Chadstone), Taryn (Chatswood), Summayya (Doncaster), Cindy (Glen Waverley), Jowyn (Highpoint) and Shabnam (Parramatta), all committed to delivering consistent, high-quality education.

• Your first visit

  Your first step is to book a trial class, which gives you the chance to experience a real 50-minute Shichida lesson with your child and see how they respond in the classroom environment. During this trial session, you'll observe the pace, activities and small-group dynamics firsthand before making any commitment to enrol. After attending the trial, the team provides guidance on which class age group is the best fit for your child and answers any questions about the program. If everything feels right for your family, you can then proceed with enrolment, starting with a one-time $100 life membership fee and then paying term fees of $700 for each 10-week block of classes.
