Our approach
At Sense Sports, qualified Occupational Therapists bring therapeutic expertise directly into sporting club environments, working alongside coaches and volunteers on the same grounds where children train. Children start in a safe, supported setting and gradually transition to broader club activities at their own pace, learning to manage the natural emotions and unpredictability that sport brings. Sessions focus on real therapeutic outcomes, with many children showing meaningful gains in emotional regulation, social connection and gross motor skills. Rather than expecting children to adapt to clinical settings first, the program embeds allied health support within the community spaces where children want to belong. Every session is designed as a step toward the child becoming a genuine, long-term member of their club.
