Sensational Kids has a dedicated team of Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Dietitians, Music Therapists, Psychologists, Counsellors, Therapy Assistants and Clinic Administrators. The team includes several assessing psychologists and speech pathologists qualified to conduct formal assessments. Team members undertake frequent professional development to improve their skills and are supported through internal and external supervision with their peers. The team works closely together and with families to achieve optimal outcomes and streamlined care. The practice is led by Fran Nicholson as Manager/Director, with clinic admin leaders in each location, and has been assisting children and families since 2007, helping over 17,000 children.

Your first visit

Your first appointment begins with a chat to discuss your concerns and understand what brings you in. The clinic has a variety of playrooms where the therapist will select toys or games to play with your child in a relaxed, fun way—it won't feel like a formal therapy session to you or your child. After this initial visit, the team will make recommendations about the best way forward and help you plan next steps that fit your family's needs and daily schedule. If you need to adjust the plan at any time, they're happy to make changes to suit you. The whole process is designed to be gentle and accessible.
